We’re excited to announce that WesScholar, Wesleyan’s institutional repository, has just reached 1 million full-text downloads! As of this morning, the download count stood at 1,000,0082. There are presently 3,386 digital items in WesScholar, and the average download per item is around 300. Although WesScholar was started in 2008, 416,180 downloads have come in just the last year.
Items in WesScholar are included in the Olin Library catalog, discoverable by Google searching, and indexed by a growing number of databases, including Google Scholar. If you wish to increase the exposure and use of your research and scholarship, we strongly encourage you to add more items to your WesScholar page or, if you do not yet have a page, to start one now. We will be happy to assist with the administration of your account.
