Thank you to all who donated books to the book sale, volunteered to help, and came to buy books. The sale was a big success, bringing students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, and the community together to enjoy browsing through the thousands of books looking for new homes. The sale raised over $3,500 for library events, special projects, and collections.
The Friends of the Wesleyan Library would like to give special thanks to the freshmen on Wesleyan’s lacrosse team who volunteered on Friday afternoon to set up tables for the sale and move hundreds of heavy boxes of books, and to the dedicated two team members who returned at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning before their scrimmage to help some more. We couldn’t have done it without all their help!
